Ireland

Most Recently: April 2023

Ireland is one of our favorite and most frequent destinations. Haven't taken the kids, however! Mark started visiting the Apple factory in Cork in the early nineties. We were engaged in Ireland in 1994 during a road trip around the republic. Mark started visiting again while in Intel's strategy office and connecting with the factory in Leixlip.

2023 was our first trip to Northern Ireland and Belfast. Just a short layover on our way from the States to Portugal. The history of the troubles is fascinating but the progress since and the normalcy of life around the city these days is amazing. The Titanic experience is awesome. The site is still a working shipyard and much of the facilities from the turn of the century are still standing and open to visitors.

Looking forward to sunny Dublin after a stop to see Arthur...
